Abstract Vessels & Saltglazed Teapots

'The 'Empty Vessels' are not strictly functional, they are visually simple and deliberately untrammeled by organic or anthropomorphic or geological associations. Contrasting interior/exterior colours animate their formal simplicity & their leaning diagonals suggest dynamic movement. Individually, in related pairs or as groups, I see them as three-dimensional abstract forms containing light and space and room for reflection.

In this exhibition I am also pleased to be showing a collection of my teapots, accumulated over a period of years, which have been kept in reserve as particularly nice examples' Jane Hamlyn 2011 (Maker)
